Drugs are made of synthetic chemicals that must be filtered by your liver, kidneys, and other detox organs. They also drain out vital nutrients necessary for detoxification. In Other words, they add to your bodys toxic burden while reducing its capacity to eliminate them. I am not suggesting you to discontinue taking any medications that your doctor has prescribed. It can be very harmful to you a times. I am asking you to rethink the necessity to pop a pill for everything that ails you. After all, what did people do only a hundred years or so ago, before there were prescription and OTC drugs?

According to Web Definition, a genetically modified organism (GMO) or genetically engineered organism (GEO) is an organism whose genetic material has been altered.
Genetic Engineering (GE) or Genetic Modification (GM) of food involves the laboratory process of artificially inserting genes into the DNA of food crops or animals. The result is called a genetically modified organism or GMO. GMOs can be engineered with genes from bacteria, viruses, insects, animals, or even humans.

In November 2012 California voted against Proposition 37, a ballot measure that would have required food companies to label genetically modified products. Over one million people pledged their support for the California Right to Know campaign, but big brands like Kashi and Kellogg opposed the initiative. The companies said labeling would cause extra costs for food producers and make people worried about the safety of genetically engineered crops that pose no health threats.
From breakfast cereal to beef jerky, 80 percent of processed foods are made with ingredients from genetically modified crops, or plants whose gene composition has been altered with the addition of foreign DNA. What’s so great about changing what nature gave us?

  • For Abdominal Pain: Burn a piece of the root of vacha till charred. Mix with a little castor (or coconut) oil and apply over the lower abdomen.
  • For Cough: Boil 1/4 tsp each of the powders of the roots of calamus and liquorice in 2 glasses of water. Cool and sip 4 tbsp two to three times a day. (Note: 1 tsp honey can be added.)
  • For Dandruff and Hair Loss: Mix 1 tsp powdered root in 2 tbsp cold coconut milk and make a paste. Apply on the affected parts and allow it to remain for 1/2 hour before rinsing it
  • For Diarrhea and Dysentery: Take 2-3 pinches of the root powder with honey every morning on an empty stomach.
